Welcome to the Steam Team.

Help us build a different kind of sauna culture.

We believe sauna should be more than something you book for an hour.

It should be a place to slow down, connect with other people, take care of yourself, and feel part of your community.

That's what we're building at Triple Peak — and we're looking for people who want to help us build it.

What is the Steam Team

The Steam Team is a community of sauna lovers who want to help create a welcoming, accessible and connected sauna culture in Port Alberni and across Vancouver Island.

Steam Team members are community hosts, advocates and regular sauna-goers who help us welcome people into the space and share what Triple Peak is all about.

In return, Steam Team members get complimentary access to the sauna while they're active members of the program.

There's no traditional membership fee and no complicated discount structure.

Just sauna, community and a little time given back.

Your sauna access

When you want to book a session online, you'll receive a personal Steam Team coupon code that you can use when booking to bring the booking cost to $0.

When you're using the sauna through our donation-based public sessions, you don't need to meet the standard $35 public-session minimum.

Instead, you participate in the same pay-what-you-wish model we're building for our community.

That might mean:

$2.

$10.

$50.

Whatever feels appropriate for you that day.

You might contribute more one day and nothing the next. That's okay.

The idea isn't to keep score.

It's to make sauna accessible and build a community where everyone contributes in the ways they can.

Why we're doing this

We want to experiment with a different model for sauna.

One where access isn't always determined by whether someone can afford a $35 session.

One where someone having a tough month can still come in and take care of themselves.

One where someone who has more to give can help support someone who has less.

And one where the people who use the sauna regularly have a real role in helping care for the space and the community around it.

The Steam Team is an important part of making that possible.

What you get

  • Active Steam Team members receive a personal coupon code for online bookings, allowing them to book sessions at no charge.

    For donation-based public sessions, there is no $35 minimum. Contribute whatever you feel comfortable contributing — including $0.

  • Help build a new kind of sauna culture right here in Port Alberni and on Vancouver Island.

  • Spend time around people who care about wellness, connection, the outdoors and sauna culture.

  • If you want sauna to become part of your regular routine, the Steam Team gives you a way to do that.

  • Your time helps make the sauna a welcoming place for people who may be experiencing it for the first time.

  • We're building this together. Steam Team members will have an opportunity to help shape how Triple Peak and its community evolve.

Who we're looking for

You don't need to be a sauna expert.

We're looking for people who:

  • Live on Vancouver Island — ideally in Port Alberni or the surrounding area

  • Love sauna or are genuinely excited about sauna culture

  • Want to sauna regularly

  • Are comfortable meeting and talking with new people

  • Enjoy making others feel welcome

  • Can confidently explain what Triple Peak is about

  • Believe sauna can be about community, not just heat

  • Can commit to at least one Steam Team shift per month

  • Are dependable, respectful and willing to pitch in

You might be a surfer, paddler, athlete, parent, wellness enthusiast, outdoor adventurer, entrepreneur, retiree — or simply someone who really loves a good sauna.

You don't need to be an influencer. You just need to care about the experience.

This isn't a job.

The Steam Team is a volunteer community program.

We're not looking for people to sell sauna sessions or act like traditional brand ambassadors.

We're looking for people who want to help create the kind of sauna community they would want to be part of themselves.

You'll help welcome people into the space, introduce them to sauna culture, answer questions and help create a positive experience for everyone.

In return, you'll have access to the sauna and the opportunity to become a meaningful part of the Triple Peak community.
